About Me

In my work with clients, I offer an integrated approach that, in addition to traditional talk therapy, includes mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (E.M.D.R.), and the mind-body techniques of Somatic Experiencing

Since graduating from New York University with a Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health & Wellness, I have worked with clients in a variety of settings, including:

The School for Ethics and Global Leadership: I am the consulting Licensed Professional Counselor for SEGL. I provide initial assessments and counseling to students on an as-needed basis. I also provide the faculty with mental health and wellness trainings.

The Viva Center: As a Clinical Associate, I provided therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. The Viva Center is a trauma-informed organization that offers a variety of services including psychotherapy, acupuncture, empowerment workshops, and physical therapy.

The George Washington University Counseling Center: I provided short-term assessment and therapy services to undergraduate and graduate students.

D.C. Rape Crisis Center: I supported survivors of childhood sexual abuse and adult rape on their journey of healing through individual and group therapy. I also provided counseling services to secondary survivors- family members and friends of survivors.

Safe Shores, the DC Children’s Advocacy Center: I provided individual and family services to children and adolescents who had experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and/or were witnesses to violence.

S.O.M.E.: I provided individual and group counseling to adults recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
